Suspect linked to fraudulent documents
The Department of Home Affairs said the suspect allegedly worked with corrupt officials. The group reportedly issued South African identity documents and passports to people who did not qualify for them.
The arrest forms part of the government’s ongoing campaign against organised crime within the department. Authorities believe the syndicate operated through a sophisticated network.
