The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape has announced that the late Sijadu Mhaga will be laid to rest on Saturday, 18 July 2026.
According to the ANC, the funeral service will be held at the Willowvale Sport Centre from 09:00.
The party said ANC leaders, alliance partners, family members, friends, community members and supporters are expected to attend the funeral to pay their final respects.
The ANC said the funeral would provide an opportunity to honour and celebrate Mhaga’s life and his contribution to both the movement and the community.
The party added that further details regarding the funeral programme and the attendance of dignitaries would be communicated ahead of the service.
