GQEBERHA, EASTERN CAPE – ANC Regional Chairperson Babalwa Lobishe joined ANC Youth League Regional Task Team (RTT) members Akhona Kethani, Amyoli Resha and Ntombozuko Xipu to lead a door-to-door voter registration campaign in Ward 16, New Brighton, on Sunday.
ANC Encourages Residents to Register
The campaign forms part of the ANC’s preparations for the 2026 Local Government Elections. During the visit, party leaders met residents and encouraged them to register to vote. They also urged eligible voters to take part in the democratic process.
Furthermore, ANC volunteers visited homes across the ward. They answered questions about voter registration and encouraged residents to check their registration details. If necessary, residents can update their information before election day.
Voter Registration Continues
According to the ANC, voter registration remains open at designated voting stations. Therefore, the party encouraged all eligible residents to register before the deadline.
Meanwhile, political parties across the Eastern Cape continue to campaign in communities. As a result, voter mobilisation activities have increased ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.
