EFF Demands Publication of Madlanga Commission Reports
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has called for the immediate release of the Madlanga Commission’s interim reports after President Cyril Ramaphosa granted the commission a second extension.
The Presidency announced that the commission’s final report will now be handed over on 16 November, instead of 31 August, with evidence hearings continuing until 2 October.
In a statement, the EFF said the repeated extensions have raised concerns about transparency and accountability, arguing that the public should have access to the commission’s interim findings and recommendations.
The party also called for the commission’s investigations to be expanded to include all institutions where there are credible allegations of organised crime, corruption and political interference.
