The family of Anda “Peach” Mlondleni has launched an online petition and awareness campaign calling for a transparent and thorough investigation into her fatal shooting.
According to the family, Mlondleni joined Mrhawu Holdings in June 2024. On 1 July 2026, she was suspended pending a disciplinary hearing, which was held on 2 July before an external chairperson. During the hearing, she reportedly requested that the proceedings be recorded.
The family says no outcome of the disciplinary hearing had been communicated to her.
On the morning of Monday, 13 July 2026, Mlondleni allegedly received a call from her employer requesting that she come to the office for a discussion at 11:00.
She arrived at the premises at approximately 11:00am and, according to her family, called her sister around 11:20am to say that she had finished and was ready to be picked up.
Tragically, shortly after leaving the premises, Mlondleni was fatally shot outside the offices of Mrhawu Holdings.
Family members say witnesses reportedly heard her cry out after the first gunshot, while others allegedly saw a man with his face covered carrying what appeared to be a firearm shortly before the shooting.
The family has stressed that they are not making accusations against anyone and are not seeking to influence the investigation. Instead, they are calling for a transparent, thorough and impartial investigation to establish the truth and ensure that anyone responsible is brought to justice.
“Anda was more than a victim. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose life was taken far too soon,” the family said in a statement.
As part of the #JusticeForPeach campaign, the family is urging the public to sign and share an online petition demanding justice for Mlondleni.
