
Four People Killed in Walmer Home Shooting, Police Launch Investigation
Police in the Eastern Cape have opened a murder investigation after four people were found shot dead inside a residence in the Solomon Mahlangu Informal Settlement in Walmer.
Members of the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Detectives were called to the scene at around 00:20 on Monday morning, where they discovered the bodies of two adult males and two adult females inside a shack.
According to police, two of the victims were found lying next to each other in the sitting room, while the other two were discovered on a bed in a bedroom.
All four had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and were declared dead at the scene.
Authorities say the motive for the attack is still unknown and it is not yet clear whether anything was stolen from the property.
No arrests have been made at this stage.Police have appealed to the public for assistance with any information that could help identify and trace those responsible.
