
WILLOWVALE – The Executive Mayor of Mbhashe Local Municipality, Dr. Samkelo Janda, will officially hand over the newly refurbished Bhojini Community Hall on Friday, 31 July 2026, as the municipality continues to invest in community infrastructure and improve access to public facilities.
Upgraded Facility to Benefit the Community
The refurbished Bhojini Community Hall will provide residents with a safe, accessible and functional venue for community meetings, social gatherings, cultural events, youth development programmes and other public activities.
In addition, the upgraded facility will offer local organisations and community members a modern space to host programmes that promote social interaction, community participation and local development.
Ongoing Investment in Public Infrastructure
According to Mbhashe Local Municipality, the refurbishment forms part of its ongoing commitment to improving public infrastructure and expanding access to quality community facilities.
Furthermore, the municipality says the project aligns with its broader goal of creating inclusive public spaces that strengthen social cohesion and improve the quality of life for residents.
Official Handover Scheduled
Community members, municipal officials and other stakeholders are expected to attend the official handover ceremony, where the municipality will showcase the completed upgrades.
During the event, the municipality will also reaffirm its commitment to delivering quality services under the theme “Leave No One Behind.”
The handover of the Bhojini Community Hall represents another milestone in Mbhashe Local Municipality’s efforts to develop sustainable community infrastructure and create facilities that support the social and economic well-being of residents.
