Petrol and Diesel Prices to Drop from Wednesday
South African motorists will pay less for fuel from Wednesday, 1 July 2026, after the government announced a decrease in fuel prices.
Petrol 93 octane will drop by R2.01 per litre, while Petrol 95 octane will decrease by R1.96 per litre.
Diesel prices will also fall, with 50ppm diesel down by R3.59 per litre and 500ppm diesel down by R3.14 per litre.
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources said the price cuts were mainly caused by lower international oil prices and a stronger rand.
The new fuel prices will come into effect on Wednesday, bringing welcome relief to motorists across the country.
