
President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a reshuffle of the National Executive, introducing new Ministers and Deputy Ministers following consultations with the Democratic Alliance under the Government of National Unity (GNU).
Among the appointments, Willem Aucamp has been named Minister of Agriculture, David Maynier takes over as Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, while Dina Pule has been appointed Minister of Social Development.
The President also announced several Deputy Minister appointments. John Steenhuisen has been appointed Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Alexandra Abrahams becomes Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy, Jack Bloom has been appointed Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, and Yusuf Cassim will serve as Deputy Minister of Higher Education.
The appointments affect six government portfolios and form part of ongoing adjustments within the Government of National Unity.
President Ramaphosa congratulated the incoming Ministers and Deputy Ministers and wished them well as they assume their new responsibilities.
