Two men, both reportedly taxi operators, died in separate shootings in Willowvale on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
The first shooting happened at about 1:35pm on Main Street.
Police responded after receiving a murder report. Officers found a man with several gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Police said two unknown men shot him. The suspects then ran away from the scene.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
Second shooting reported in Willowvale
Later that evening, at about 8:45pm, police received another shooting report.
This time, the incident happened in Extension 1 in Willowvale.
Officers found a second man outside a house. He had gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The man had died before police arrived.
Police have not yet established what led to the shooting.
Both men reportedly worked as taxi operators in the Willowvale area.
However, police have not confirmed any link between the shootings and the taxi industry.
Investigators are still working to establish what happened in both cases.
