Zimbabwe Economic Forum Rejects EFF CommentsThe Zimbabwe Economic Forum (ZEF) has rejected comments made by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and its leader, Julius Malema, about President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term in office and constitutional changes in Zimbabwe.
In a statement, the Forum said Zimbabwe is a sovereign country and that its political and constitutional matters should be decided by Zimbabweans through their own institutions.
The organisation also criticised the EFF for commenting on Zimbabwe’s affairs, saying the party should focus on challenges facing South Africa.
ZEF said Zimbabwe has made progress in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, mining and healthcare under President Mnangagwa’s administration.
The statement was signed by Zimbabwe Economic Forum chairman, Jay Israel Jacob Dube, who called for respect and cooperation among African nations.
