The Business Manager of the SABC’s Eastern Cape Combo, which includes Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM, has announced that he is leaving his position.
In a farewell message shared today, Loyiso reflected on his time leading the two radio stations, describing it as one of the most challenging and meaningful leadership assignments of his career.
He thanked the teams at Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM for their trust, commitment and shared purpose, saying their support made the journey worthwhile. He also expressed appreciation to presenters, producers and internal stakeholders for their dedication and willingness to embrace his leadership.
Loyiso thanked his wife, Jennifer, their daughters and God for the strength and support they gave him throughout his journey.
He also paid tribute to the loyal listeners of Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM, saying they remained at the heart of the stations’ success and thanking them for their continued loyalty.
While confirming his departure, Loyiso did not reveal the reason for leaving or announce his next career move. He concluded his message by expressing gratitude for the lessons learned, the relationships built and the milestones achieved, adding that he believes “the best is ahead.”
