The Presidency has confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa met with Insizwa Nobunsiza leaders Ngizwe Mchunu and Nkosikhona Ndabandaba on Monday, 29 June 2026, to discuss concerns over migration.
According to the Presidency, President Ramaphosa reminded the leaders that while South Africans have the right to protest, demonstrations must remain peaceful and within the law.
He also said government is addressing migration issues and remains the only authority responsible for enforcing immigration laws.
The meeting has sparked questions on social media after March and March movement leader Jacinta Zinhle MaNgobese Zuma said she only learned about it online.
Responding to a Facebook comment asking why she was not involved, Jacinta wrote: “I just saw it now on social media angazi lutho,” indicating she had no prior knowledge of the meeting.
